Reflection

1)From the research I have done I have learned a lot of similarities and differences of what families and children of all races and culture encounter as far as difficulties in house holds which could include topics that i stated in post four such as neighborhoods, financial problems, race, and parental divorce.

2)My research topic of "How Is Black Child Hood Different From White?"has been very beneficial to me by expanding my knowledge of what goes on in other races/cultures every day life.It also showed me that the things I complain about and encounter in my life is not as traumatizing as what a child from a less fortunate community and/or family would go through which to me seems like it would make theme mentally and physically stronger, and more capable to endure more than people who don't have to go through the lifestyle they have encountered.

3)Personally I don't think every one one is born with an equal opportunity or an equal life.TO me African Americans and other races will always have their differences
for instance black/whites.To me and to my advantage the research I gathered stated that White children have a higher percentage of being something versus a African American who would have to work twice as hard to accomplish similar success and goals as a White person. To me this is very true statement because of the things I see happening between the two races sometimes I see the over looking of African Americans, the cruel stereotypes and out casting the, overlooking of African Americans, unlike other ethnic groups.

Recomendations

Further Research
1)A new research question that I would have from my research would be: "what personal life experiences change the way blacks and whites live their life ?". the areas that could be more helpful for information would be to look at individual data from both races black, and whites.surveys I should probably conduct should probably be about what does household problems do to a child's way of acting?.there could be other races that could be investigated to expand the research of how family problems affect all races instead of just black/white.

Social Change
2)From what I have learned house hold arguing should change between both black/white, as well as parents supporting their children making sure their in the right activities, who their friends are, engage in conversations that could benefit their futures.

Writing
3)I personally believe that the problems that occur in black and white childhoods is based on the love of your supporters such as parents, relatives, and friends.from what I personally see not in all African Americans, but in some parents don't really engage in what their children do unless its probably sport related activities. For an example the movie "Freedom Writers" their high school was consisted of more African Americans than whites. When a open house was assigned not one African American student or parent showed up to support their child's education versus the white kids at the school who's parents attended the conference.

conclusion

The survey data I provided below shows that a great deal of students believe that trauma between families such as parental divorces, and neighborhood problems could potentially cause a change in ones childhood. These responses could be from what some of my peers have encountered and what could have potentially changed their childhood. From the data that I have it shows that financial problems has a little role in childhood changes. This could be because as a kid you are less likely to live your life as a kid because of the lack of sufficient funds for child lie things. However it seems to me race doesn't really matter to people its the life changing things that happens"the things i stated before".

research summary

from my research several sources says and believes that starting before birth , a African American child will face longer odds against survival and success than a white child. this plays a role in my research question about how is black child hood different than white?. also research says African American women are more likely than white women to become impregnated at an early age with out marrying, to have abortions, to delay or to forgo parental care.to me these are the labels they give African Americans and i think we can take these labels off , but only by doing what is necessary, and making the best out of life by putting the physicality's of life behind us and by doing whats right.

Holding On

I chose this topic , because being a young black male I see the criticism and the out casting of people from opposite race. I chose this topic because I want to further investigate what stereotypes people label on opposite races and to see however the way black kids act they probably don't have a choice because of the way they were raised ,grew up,and what they have encountered. I believe also if African Americans set aside what goes on in their life and stop always putting them selves in the wrong positions and choices we get in something can be made of our selves.
